Overseas Business

Dabeinong Biotechnology's overseas business primarily targets the soybean production regions in South America. Since 2018, the company has established subsidiaries in Argentina and Brazil, set up R&D and extension teams, and owns experimental and demonstration farms. Through close collaboration with local seed companies and international grain merchants, the company promotes the application and commercialization of GM soybeans with independent intellectual property rights in South America. The herbicide-tolerant soybean event (GGT, DBN9004) received planting approval in Argentina in 2019 and the Biosafety Certificate for Agricultural GMOs in China (for import and production) in 2020. This marks a milestone for the company in the South American market and represents the first breakthrough by a Chinese enterprise in the global biotech breeding industry. The company's independently developed insect-resistant soybean event (GIR, DBN8002) obtained planting approval in Argentina in November 2022 and the Biosafety Certificate for Agricultural GMOs in China in April 2023. The stacked event DBN9004*DBN8002 received planting approval in Argentina in October 2023. In August 2023, the Brazilian subsidiary secured the Biosafety Certificate (CQB) for conducting GM-related activities in soybean, corn, and cotton. DBN9004 obtained planting approval in Brazil in November 2023.
Dabeinong Biotechnology's highly competitive GM trait technologies, combined with premium germplasm resources and an efficient breeding system overseas, are driving new momentum in the global soybean industry's development.
