Heilongjiang's grand agriculture is poised to enter a golden era, which also presents new opportunities for Dabeinong's business development," said Dr. Shao Genhuo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group Co., Ltd., at the first Longshang Conference and China (Heilongjiang) International Green Food Industry High-Quality Development Forum held on the 14th in the Huaqi Hall of the Harbin Exhibition Center. Dr. Shao expressed confidence in the high-quality development of Heilongjiang's grand agriculture.
Heilongjiang must serve as a reliable "ballast stone" for national food security. It should focus on developing modern grand agriculture, accelerating the construction of modern agricultural bases, large enterprises, and industries, and taking the lead in modernizing agricultural equipment, technology, operation and management, informatization, and sustainable resource use. Based on this, Dr. Shao believes that grand agriculture will be China's next growth engine, and Heilongjiang's grand agriculture is becoming the center of global agriculture.
Dr. Shao explained several reasons why Heilongjiang's grand agriculture is becoming the world's agricultural center. Firstly, Heilongjiang is fostering an economic environment for comprehensive revitalization. The province has vast arable land, fertile black soil, a favorable ecology, and regional advantages such as proximity to both China and Russia. Secondly, Heilongjiang boasts exceptional strengths in agricultural science and education, with leading institutions such as the Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Northeast Agricultural University, Harbin Veterinary Research Institute, Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Modern Agriculture Research Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology, and Bayi Agricultural Reclamation University. Heilongjiang is arguably one of China's strongest regions for agricultural research and education. The province is also home to robust enterprises such as Beidahuang Group, Agricultural Investment Group, Feihe Dairy, and Gushi. Moreover, the Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, completed in 2015, is the world's tallest agricultural building at 49 floors and 216.8 meters, set to become a global hub for agricultural institutions.
As a high-tech agricultural company, Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group has been operating in Heilongjiang for 28 years. "Heilongjiang Province is Dabeinong's most profitable province. Invest in agriculture, come to Heilongjiang!" said Dr. Shao. On May 27, 2022, the Heilongjiang Provincial Government and Dabeinong Group signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, proposing a "Double Trillion Project". In 2022, Dabeinong Group established the Heihe Soybean Research Center in collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Last year, Dabeinong began constructing the Wuchang Rice Industry Park. In the first half of this year, they established the World Agricultural Science and Technology Achievement Trading Center. Recently, Dabeinong signed a modern agriculture demonstration project with Fuyuan County. Cooperation has yielded fruitful results.
At the conference, Shao Genhuo passionately declared, "The world economy looks to China, China's economy looks to agriculture, the agricultural economy looks to Longjiang, and Longjiang's economy looks to Longshang!"
